SPEC RACER: Ott Brothers Make Professional Debut on Same Weekend

Brothers Jason and Steve Ott, of Brighton, Colo., will each make
their professional racing debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway...Jason in the
No.
5 Blue Ox/Herbert Motors/M.J. Dixon Pontiac Firebird Speedvision GT car,
and
Steve in the No. 48 Blue Ox/LaRue Motorsports Pro Spec Racer.
Jason, 22, who began racing in 1998, is the 1998 Rocky Mountain Division Spec-7 Champion and the 2000 Rocky Mountain Formula Ford Divisional Champion. The University of Colorado Marketing major has also instructed in numerous SCCA and Ferrari Club school events.
Steve, 19, began racing in 1999, winning the Jim Christian Racing Rookie Sponsorship program in SCCA Club Racing Spec Racer Ford. After finishing seventh in the 1999 Valvoline Runoffs, Ott took both the Rocky Mountain Divisional and Regional Championships in Spec Racer Ford in preparation to his foray into the Pro Spec Racer series.
