SCCA: 'We Make a Differnce Foundation' Official Charity of Speedvision World Challenge

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--The Speedvision World Challenge named The We Make A Difference Foundation an official series charity today.

Established this year by Gary Christopher & Associates, the We Make A Difference Foundations major goals are to raise the quality of life for chronically ill or disabled children, raise the quality of life of children through educational activities and provide opportunities to help children raise their self esteem. The Foundation works with three charities to reach those goalsthe Rainbow Babies & Childrens Hospital (Cleveland, Ohio), the NFL Alumni Association (Cleveland Chapter) and the Northern Mariana Sports Challenge.

"Were proud to be a supporter of the We Make A Difference Foundation, and, specifically, their initial charitable eventthe Racing for the Rainbow raffle," said Mitch Wright, Speedvision World Challenge General Manager. "Helping children is something everyone can get behind. The We Make A Difference Foundation is set up to do just thathelp kids."

The Racing for the Rainbow drive will raffle a 2000 Porsche 996 (or $50,000 cash) off to one lucky winner. A total of 2000 tickets are being sold for the raffle at $100 apiece. Second prize is $3,000, third is $1,000, fourth is $500 and fifth through 10th receive $200. Additionally, $100 prizes are raffled off at each Speedvision World Challenge Drivers Meeting.

"Were excited to have the Speedvision World Challenge Championships on board with the We Make A Difference Foundation," said Gary Christopher, founder of the We Make A Difference Foundation. "We feel that relationships like the one with World Challenge will help make our goals become a reality."

The Racing for the Rainbow raffle already has distinct Speedvision World Challenge ties, with Speedvision GT driver Scott Bove and Speedvision Touring Car driver Shauna Marinus serving as charity spokespersons. Additionally, the raffle car her been dressed up as as a Speedvision GT car, carrying Boves number 22 on the side. The raffle, also supported by Stoddard Imports, e-sports.com, Team Tech Motor Sports, Racetech and NewDayRecords.com, will take place at the 2001 Speedvision World Challenge season opener at Texas Motor Speedway, the weekend of March 2-4.
