"I'm definitely looking for some better
results at Memphis this year than we had last year. We qualified well,
but
got caught up in one of the many accidents that happened that day.
Memphis
is a single-groove race track. Couple that with the fact that it's a
short
track and you have all of the ingredients for some interesting
racing."--Buckshot Jones
Logging The Miles...With just three races remaining in the 2000 NASCAR Busch Series season and plans to enter the November 19th Winston Cup event at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Buckshot Racing team transporter driver Jerry Byerly will be logging a few miles during the next four weeks. Following Rockingham, the transporter will be at the team's shop in Spartanburg, S.C., for a total of just five days during the four- week stretch.
Practice Makes Perfect...
The Buckshot Racing team spent Tuesday and Wednesday testing at Homestead-Miami Speedway this week in preparation for the HotWheels.com 300 in two weeks. The team is also prepared to test at Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 8. The Buckshot Racing team will attempt to make the starting field for the Winston Cup season finale on November 19.
Making The Races...
Despite using a provisional and starting 41st last weekend at Rockingham, Buckshot Racing continues to be one of just 15 NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division teams to start all 29 races so far this season.
