"The Busch race at Memphis last year was probably one of the biggest heartbreaks for the Phillips 66 team all season long. We had a great race car at that race and just about everyone was looking at us as the team to beat. We hope to duplicate everything from last year with the addition of a win."-- Todd Bodine

"Memphis is fairly similar to Richmond. It's bigger in size but has that same D-shaped look. We'll use a lot of our notes from Richmond this year to help us this weekend. We had a car capable of winning the race at Memphis last year but had a little bad luck with an incident on pit road. We'll be able to use some of our set-up notes from last year at Memphis but we'll be starting from scratch in some areas because of the new bodies on the Monte Carlos. All in all though we are looking forward to going back there."

The Equipment . . . "Fido" is the Phillips 66 Chevy that Bodine will compete with this weekend at Memphis Motorsports Park. "Fido" is the same car Bodine won the pole with and finished fourth with at Richmond during the fall event.

New Driver For 2001 . . . Phillips 66 announced last weekend at the North Carolina Speedway that veteran driver Tim Fedewa will assume the driving duties of the Phillips 66 Chevrolet in the 2001 NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division season.

Last Weekend In Rockingham . . . The Phillips 66 team scored its 14th top-five finish of the 2000 Busch Series season with a fourth-place finish in the Sam's Club 200 last weekend at the North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham, N.C. Bodine battled a tight-handling racecar throughout the majority of the event and finessed his way to the top-five finish.

"We had a car capable of finishing in the top 10 and ended up getting a top-five finish out of it. The Phillips 66 team had great pit stops all day and helped us to gain positions on the track. Donnie (Richeson) kept adjusting on the car and was able to get us into the top five before the checkers waved. We were pretty happy to leave there with a fourth-place finish."
