NASCAR BGN: Ward Burton quotes, Sam's Club 200 Post Race

WARD BURTON, NO. 22 POLARIS PONTIAC GRAND PRIX (5th):

"That last adjustment we made had gotten the nose real tight. But compared to where we were yesterday, the guys made some good improvements on the Polaris Pontiac. We were just trying to hold off the '60' car (Mark Martin). We really didn't have much for anybody else unless they got together in front of us."

(ON THE ONE-LAP SHOOTOUT AFTER THE FINAL CAUTION) "I think NASCAR made the right decision. Our races are pretty long - particularly in Winston Cup. If you get to the finish you get to the finish. If you don't, you finish under caution. Long races, fuel mileage and everything come in play."
