Central City, Ky. - Williams TravelCenters announced today that it and Jamie McMurray have signed an agreement with Brewco Motorsports to race in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division next year. McMurray will drive the No. 27 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Williams TravelCenters as the primary sponsor.

McMurray, 24, will succeed Casey Atwood in the No. 27 Brewco Motorsports Chevrolets. Atwood, who won two Busch Series races with Brewco, will drive for Ray Evernham and Dodge in the Winston Cup Series in 2001.

McMurray, from Joplin, Mo., comes to Brewco from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series where he has 20 career starts. He won the Bud Pole Award in the Craftsman Truck Series this year at the Michigan Speedway and Nashville Speedway USA. McMurray has one top five and three top 10 finishes this season in 15 events. His best finish was third at Indianapolis Raceway Park on August 3.

"Racing for Williams TravelCenters and Brewco Motorsports is a tremendous opportunity for me and a dream come true," said McMurray, who will be a rookie next season.

Lyn Gregory, vice president of marketing for Williams TravelCenters, said McMurray is a proven winner with a bright future.

"Working with Jamie and Brewco Motorsports is a winning combination for Williams TravelCenters," Gregory said. "Brewco Motorsports is a first-class operation and its team owner, Clarence Brewer Jr., is a true professional whose marketing skills add tremendous value to Williams TravelCenters."

Williams TravelCenters and Brewco Motorsports have raced a limited schedule this season, but look forward to a full race schedule next year.

"I'm extremely excited about promoting Williams TravelCenters and Jamie next season," Brewer said. "Jamie brings a lot of enthusiasm and racing knowledge to our program.

"With the addition of Williams TravelCenters and Jamie, Brewco Motorsports continues to strengthen its position in the NASCAR Busch Series."

McMurray will compete for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year in the Busch Series in 2001, and his No. 27 Williams TravelCenters Chevrolets will be maintained at Brewco Motorsports in Central City, Ky. Brewco also manages NASCAR driver Kevin Grubb, 22, and his Timber Wolf Racing team.
