Things are becoming clearer in Pro Stock Truck, NHRA's newest professional
class. There are three races remaining the third full season for the
class.
Teams will be making a late season charge in the three remaining races and
there is a lot that can change.John Coughlin holds down the No. 3 position in the NHRA Winston Championship. He has 702 points and leads fourth place by 88 points. John knows that he has to stay focused if he wants to remain in the No. 3 spot when the season ends in mid-November.
"I have been practicing a lot at the shop on the tree and it's helping," said John. "I am going to threat the last three races like it's a three race season that begins at Memphis and ends in Pomona. Our group is focused on winning and very excited about the next three races."
Mike Coughlin is resting is the No. 7 spot with 463 points. Mike is 71 points from taking over the No. 6 position and 109 points from the No. 5 spot. Mike knows that with a strong finish he can put the number five sticker on the side of his Jeg's Mail Order Chevy S-10 next year.
"We have our work cut out for us in the last three races if the number five is going to be on my truck next year," commented Mike. "Everyone on our team is up to the challenge! Our goal is to have all four of our team vehicles in the top five at the awards ceremony in Pomona."
