Event Preview Fact Sheet
Event: All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300
Track: Lowe's Motor Speedway at Charlotte, N.C.
Track Specs: Length -- 1.5-mile oval
FAST FACTS In 15 starts at the 1.5-mile oval, LaJoie has completed 2,663 laps of the possible 3,000, or 89 percent.
LaJoie took part in a two-day test session Sept. 25 and 26 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in preparation for the All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300.
LaJoie Looks Ahead to the All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300:
"Charlotte is just such a hit or miss race track.
"The weather makes the track very temperamental. If it gets hot, the track tends to loosen the car up because it gets pretty slick. But, if you get cloud cover over the track, it makes the car stick better and that means you'll be faster.
"It's one of the tracks where we really want to do well because we're in front of the home crowd, but beating Mark Martin and Jeff Burton is going to be hard.
"The guys that show up with the best shock package will come closer to challenging Martin and Burton. Those guys (Martin and Burton) spent two days testing at Lowe's, and from what I saw, they're going to be pretty tough to beat."
