2001 Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400 are sold out

INDIANAPOLIS - Formula One fans are encouraged to submit their ticket order and renewal forms for the 2001 SAP United States Grand Prix quickly, as tickets for the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are going fast.

Call the Indianapolis Motor Speedway ticket office at (317) 484-6700 to request an order form by mail.

The largest crowd in modern Formula One history attended the inaugural SAP United States Grand Prix on Sept. 24, 2000. The 2001 SAP United States Grand Prix is provisionally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30.

The 2001 Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 races are sold out, Speedway officials announced today.

No more order forms are being accepted for either the 85th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 27, featuring Indy Racing Northern Light Series competitors, or the eighth annual Brickyard 400 on Sunday, Aug. 5, featuring NASCAR Winston Cup Series competitors.

The Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 are the two largest single-day spectator sporting events in the world, respectively.
