Jay Drake of Val Verde, Calif. would like nothing better than to repeat his 1997 victory in this weekend's 20th Annual "4-Crown Nationals" MCI WorldCom USAC National Midget Car race at Rossburg, Ohio's Eldora Speedway.

Drake has 17 USAC feature victories this season and has his sights set on the number "20," which would establish an all-time single-season USAC victory mark. Six of his wins this year have come in the Midget Cars and he ranks second to series point leader Kasey Kahne entering the "4-Crown" activities.

Action at the 1/2-mile Eldora oval gets under way Friday with practice, qualifications and heat races on tap. Four eight-lap heats are slated for the MCI WorldCom Midget Cars Friday, with the 12-lap semi and 25-lap feature set for Saturday night's finals. Practice Friday starts at 6:30 pm, while Saturday night's first racing event begins at 7:30.

The Coors Light Silver Bullet Series, Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car Series and UMP Modifieds share the "4-Crown" spotlight with the Midget Cars. Saturday night's events conclude with a 25-lap Midget Car, 30-lap Sprint Car, 50-lap Silver Bullet and 40-lap Modified feature event.
