Aaron Justus of Crestline, Calif. has something in common with Jeff Andretti, the son of 1969 Indianapolis 500 winner Mario Andretti. Both can now lay claim to having become "undefeated" USAC driving champions!

Justus led all 50 laps of Saturday night's United States Formula 2000 National Championship race at Indianapolis Raceway Park, completing a clean sweep of this season's USAC "Oval Crown" championship races. He previously won at Phoenix, Ariz. in March and at IRP in May.

Andretti won both events which comprised the 1983 USAC Pro-Ford Championship, which included races at IRP and Marne, Mich.

Justus won the pole at IRP, then proceeded to lead every lap in his Forsythe/Indeck/Torco Van Diemen Ford. Canadian Marc-Antoine Camirand, his closest pursuer in the "Oval Crown" standings, finished second to grab the runner-up point spot, while Piero Rodarte, Peter Walsh and James Eaton rounded out the "top-five" at the checkered flag.

Justus enhanced his chances at winning the 2000 National Championship as well, expanding his lead over Camirand to 57 points, with 64 available in the final events September 29-30 at the Road Atlanta Motor Sports Center in Braselton, Ga.
