NASCAR WCUP: Ken Schrader satisfied with recent racing progress

"We've been waiting on a finish like last weekend's for quite a while. We've been making gains over the past few weeks, but our run at New Hampshire showed everyone that the "M&M's" Racing Team is competitive. It may have taken us a little longer than we planned, but now that we've improved our qualifying program and finished strong the past few weeks I see us heading in the right direction."

"As for Dover, it is a lot like the quarter-mile bullrings that we all grew up racing on with the high banks and tight turns. Dover is always tough, and it is a demanding race track. I've got a win there and in 1998 the "M&M's" Team finished in the top 10 for both races, so we've got a strong chance to have another great weekend." --Ken Schrader

Ken Schrader Information...

* Ken Schrader and the "M&M's" Racing Team are regaining their qualifying prowess, evident in the team's last three qualifying efforts of eighth at Darlington and ninth at Richmond and New Hampshire.

* Along with their latest qualifying efforts, the "M&M's" Racing Team also has found the right combination of set-up, pit strategy and driving ability as the team had a strong top-10 performance last weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway. It was a solid weekend from start to finish for the team, qualifying ninth and finishing 10th.

* It appears new teammates Ken Schrader and Johnny Benson have experienced instant chemistry since joining forces in July of this year. In two of the past four races, the duo has finished in tandem (Bristol, New Hampshire).
