"Dover is definitely my favorite racetrack. A lot of people dread it
but I have always really enjoyed it. I probably have more confidence
going into Dover than anywhere else. We have had three good finishes
there in a Winston Cup car. It makes you more excited going into the
weekend knowing you had good finishes there in the past. We've had some
frustrating races the past few weeks, so, I am ready to go to a track I
love to drive on and have a bit more confidence than I have at other race
tracks."--Matt Kenseth
Matt will be driving the same car he raced at the July Pocono event, where he grabbed a 5th place finish.
Matt has never finished outside the top six in his three Winston Cup races at Dover Downs.
Kenseth made his Winston Cup debut at Dover Downs in this race in 1998. Matt drove the #94 Ford for Bill Elliott, who was away due to the death of his father. Kenseth went on to grab an impressive 6th place finish.
Matt will be making two appearances at Home Depot stores prior to the races at Dover Downs this weekend. Kenseth will be signing autographs at the Christiana/Newark, DE store from 12-1:30 PM on Thursday, Sept. 21. Matt then heads to the Home Depot in Glenn Burnie, MD, signing from 5-6:30 PM.
