U.S. GRAND PRIX: Fox Sports Net, Speedvision, IRRN provide extensive USGP coverage

INDIANAPOLIS-- Motorsports fans can keep up to date on the historic happenings at the inaugural SAP United States Grand Prix on Sept. 22-24 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, thanks to television networks Fox Sports Net and Speedvision, and the Indy Racing Radio Network.

The three networks will together broadcast more than 20 hours of coverage from The Racing Capital of the World.

Fox Sports Net and Speedvision will each provide live coverage of Formula One practice sessions on Friday, Sept. 22, qualifications on Saturday, Sept. 23, and the SAP United States Grand Prix on Sunday, Sept. 24, including one-hour pre-race shows. Speedvision provide an additional two hours of coverage from the morning practice Sept. 23.

Foxs broadcast team for the weekend will include respected play-by-play announcer Mike Joy, analyst Derek Bell, and pit and features reporter Peter Windsor.

Speedvisions broadcast team will consist of veteran announcers Sam Posey, Bob Varsha, David Hobbs, Steve Matchett and Derek Daly. Posey will serve as the broadcast host, Varsha, Hobbs and Matchett will provide analysis and play-by-play, and Daly will report from pit lane.

The Indy Racing Radio Network, which also broadcasts worldwide the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400 NASCAR event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy Racing Northern Light Series, will air a Formula One qualification summary show Sept. 23 and live pre-race and race coverage Sept. 24.

Mike King will serve as host of IRRNs broadcasts, with Roger Horton serving as analyst and Indianapolis Motor Speedway historian Donald Davidson providing historical commentary. Kerry Addington will report for IRRN from pit lane, and Mark Jaynes, Chris Denari and Jerry Baker will be turn reporters.
