Matt is running the same Ford Taurus he ran at Richmond last weekend,
which is mostly black. This change of paint scheme is due to DEWALT Tools
trying out a possible new look for next year's car.
Matt Kenseth continues to lead the Raybestos Rookie of the Year chase, sitting 22 points ahead of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Kenseth has been the top finishing rookie in 14 races this season.
Matt will be signing autographs at the Nashua, New Hampshire Home Depot store on Thursday, September 14, from 12:00 - 1:30 PM.
Matt Kenseth's Thoughts on NHIS and Restrictor Plates
"I think running a restrictor plate at New Hampshire is a bad idea. I think NASCAR had to do something because everybody has been getting a lot of flack about safety at New Hampshire. I think they couldn't come up with a good solution to make the track safer so instead they just slowed us down a couple seconds and took away about 350 horsepower. I could be wrong, it might be a really good race, but it's something I am not looking forward to. The cars aren't going to have hardly any power and it will be very difficult to pass. I think it's going to be a frustrating race. But you never know, you might go up there and it might be a good race. We had to try something, so we'll see how it works out."
