"To go from Darlington to Richmond is pretty drastic. We go from a track where it's difficult to pass and hard on tires, to a track where there's two racing grooves and tire wear is minimal. --Buckshot Jones

A Long, Hard Battle...

The Buckshot Racing team had solid performance at Darlington Raceway last weekend. Despite qualifying 34th and having to start the race from 43rd due to an engine change, the team recovered to earn a 20th-place finish at the checkered flag.

Shifting Back To May...

During the Hardee's 250 in May, Buckshot started 30th and finished 26th despite running as high as second late in the race. On a restart with just 30 laps remaining, Jones lost fourth gear in the transmission of his No. 00 Cheez-It Chevrolet.

* Jones has competed in nine Busch Series events at Darlington, for a total of 2,250 laps. Jones has completed 2,104 of the laps run in those nine races which gives him a lap completion record of 93.5 percent.

* Jones has an average starting position of 21st and average finishing position of 22nd at Richmond.

* Jones is currently 19th in the Busch Series point standings, 211 points behind 15th-place Kevin Grubb.
