"We've got a wave of momentum going for us right now and we're going
to ride
that wave as long as we can. The "M&M's" Team has really been working well
together and working well with the No. 10 car. We have had two or three
strong qualifying runs in the past few weeks and that takes a lot of
pressure off the guys for the rest of the weekend. Qualifying has been a
struggle for us this year, but it looks like we are starting to turn that
around. With more practice time in race trim, this allows us to
concentrate
more on our race setup and the results are really starting to
show.--Ken Schrader "
* The car the "M&M's" Racing Team will utilize this weekend at Richmond is the same car that competed there in the spring. The car also ran at New Hampshire International Speedway, the site of the team's best overall performance in the 2000 season. The "M&M's" Pontiac qualified seventh at NHIS and ran with the leaders in and around the top five the remainder of the day. The No. 36 "M&M's" Pontiac also finished 12th at Richmond in March, the car's only other outing this season.
* The "M&M's" Racing Team had a solid run at RIR in the spring race, starting 23rd before finishing 12th. The car was strong through the 400-lap event as Schrader was able to pass his competition running either the high groove or the low groove around the .75-mile oval.
* 1998 was driver Ken Schrader's banner year at Richmond International Raceway with top-five performances in both races. In the spring he qualified seventh en-route to a fourth-place finish, but in the fall he had a top-five weekend from start to finish. He earned the outside pole position during qualifying and finished fourth in the race the following day.
