Daryl Campbell of Carmel, Ind. and David Fuhrman of Fort Wayne, Ind. earned feature victories in the Indianapolis Speedrome Regional Midget Car Series as Campbell escaped with a 20-point lead in the standings going into this Saturday night's event at the Mount Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Ind.
Fuhrman won Sunday night's 25-lap race at Mount Lawn in his Umber's Ace Hardware/Pennzoil Special, taking the lead on the next-to-last lap after race leaders Campbell and Rick Treadway tangled and spun out in turn one. Brad Kuhn, Eric Roberts, Joe Justice and Matt Maners rounded out the "top-five" in the Mount Lawn feature as Campbell and Treadway were relegated to eighth and ninth place respectively.
Campbell passed Maners on the 11th lap of Wednesday night's 50-lapper at the Indianapolis Speedrome and led the rest of the way in his Jack's Pizza/AFCO Shocks VW to beat Treadway, Kuhn, Maners and Furhman.
A 25-lap feature caps this Saturday night's program at the 3/10-mile paved Mount Lawn oval, with 175 points available for a victory and only 61 points separating the top four in the standings.
