"The "M&M's" Racing Team is really making some gains and we couldn't
be
happier. We ended up going a lap down at Bristol during the green flag pit
stops, but we ran with the leaders for the rest of the night. We really
were
better than where we finished. We should have been in the top 10, but the
yellows didn't fall our way the last half of the race and we never got our
lap back. The addition of Johnny Benson and the No. 10 team has really
been
a big asset for us and tonight is proof of that."--Ken

* The "M&M's" Racing Team qualified third for the 1999 Southern 500 before having their day come to an abrupt end with an accident on lap 49 when substitute driver Jerry Nadeau had a right front tire blow out in turn two.
* "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ken Schrader will spend his labor day racing around Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah. Schrader will take part in the Winston West race on Monday, September 4. He ran this race last year.
* Qualifying hasn't been a problem for Schrader at Darlington Raceway as the Missouri veteran owns three pole positions at the egg-shaped oval. Schrader also has two outside pole positions and has started in the top 10 on 16 occasions.
* The "M&M's" Racing Team is looking for a solid run at Darlington Raceway this week. In Schrader's last fall outing at the historic track, he finished solidly in the top 10 with a ninth-place effort.
