USAC: Russell 'Triple Crown' finale Saturday at Thunderhill Park

Colombian Camilo Zurcher will try to secure his first Russell Pro "Triple Crown" championship this weekend in the finale of the Yokohama series at Thunderhill Park in Willows, Calif.

Zurcher holds a narrow lead over several challengers entering the final race, scheduled for 12:20 pm on Saturday at the 3-mile road circuit. Zurcher won the July 23 event at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., while third-ranking Frank Dancs won the series opener at Sears Point on June 24.

Four practice sessions are slated for the participants on Friday, while qualifying sessions at 3:30 pm Friday and 8:15 am Saturday will set the starting lineup for Saturday's race.
