Ken Schrader Said... "With about nine laps to go in the spring, I must have run over something because my right front tire started going flat. We didn't want to pit and lose a lap or two, so we stayed on the track, nursed the car around and only lost three positions. Our goal at Bristol is the same as everyone else's. We want to qualify the "M&M's" Pontiac in the top 10 and get a pit stall on the front stretch. Then we just have to go out there and use our expertise and patience for 500 laps."
Ken Schrader Information...
* The "M&M's" Racing Team has been the picture of consistency in 2000. In the 22 previous starts the Winston Cup Series has made this season, the "M&M's" Pontiac has only one DNF, which came in the 'big wreck' at Talladega Superspeedway in April that kept at least seven other cars from finishing the race. The "M&M's" Racing Team is one of only six Winston Cup regulars who have only one DNF.
* The "M&M's" Pontiac that driver Ken Schrader will pilot at Bristol has yet to make a start thus far in the 2000 season. Despite its absence in 2000, the car is a veteran to the MB2 stables.
* Schrader's best finish at Bristol is second in 1994, but he also has a string of three third-place finishes at the Tennessee track. Schrader finished third in the fall of 1991 and at both races in 1992. His best qualifying effort at the track is third.
* Schrader has 10 top-10 finishes at Bristol Motor Speedway in his 31 career starts at the .533-mile bullring. He also has four top fives.
