Matt Kenseth will be sporting a new paint scheme at Bristol this weekend.
The #17 DEWALT Ford Taurus will be mostly black, which is different than
the normally DEWALT Yellow design. DEWALT Tools is making the variation
to test out new looks for the 2001 Winston Cup season. This same paint
design will also run at the Richmond and Loudon races in September.
Kenseth will be piloting the same car he raced with at Bristol in May. The last time this car ran was at Dover Downs in June, where he grabbed a 2nd place finish to Tony Stewart.
Matt Kenseth's Thoughts on Bristol
"Bristol is kind of like a love hate relationship for me. I love to drive around there, it's a really cool track, and an exciting atmosphere. A couple hundred thousand people around a half-mile track, on a Saturday night is a pretty crazy atmosphere. I am looking forward to it. It's going to be our first Winston Cup night race at Bristol. We usually run pretty good therel, but with Bristol there is always the possibility of an accident or getting wrecked. Lots of things happen real fast there. So it's going to be a fun race to run. Hopefully we will survive it and get a good finish out of it."
