Jerry Nadeau's Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway Driving Guide --
"Bristol's a tough place. You never know what can happen there. You can
have a great car and get caught up in somebody else's mess. It's such a
tight little race track. You just try to survive -- that's the main thing.
"The only difference between driving in the spring race and the fall race
is that you see a lot more sparks at night. There's a lot of bumping,
which
makes for a pretty wild race. It's a good race to watch, though. It's
always one of my favorites to watch on TV, let alone race in."
"Happy Birthday to You!" -- MichaelHoligan.com Racing's shop foreman and chassis specialist Rodney Combs Jr. will celebrate his 32nd birthday at home in Concord, N.C., Friday while his teammates are at Bristol Motor Speedway.
"I don't normally go to Bristol anyway, but it's nice to be off for my birthday," Combs said. "When my dad and I were both racing a few years ago, it seemed like I was always at the track on my birthday. But that doesn't change anything -- you just drive hard no matter what."
