HICKORY, NC-- Please be advised that the number for
the PPI Motorsports Ronald McDonald House Charities entry in this
weekend's (Aug. 18-20) Pepsi 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series event at
Michigan Speedway has been changed from 98 to 96. Although the number
was originally approved for use by PPI Motorsports, NASCAR opted to hold
No. 98 due to its connection to Cale Yarborough Motorsports.
The car is now officially called the No. 96 Ronald McDonald House Charities Ford. The entry, fielded by PPI Motorsports as a second car to Scott Pruett's No. 32 Tide Ford, will be driven by current NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor Andy Houston.
