NASCAR WCUP: Nemechek heads to Michigan after another top ten finish

- Joe Nemechek's Average Finish at Michigan: 25.62
- Nemechek goes into the Pepsi 400: 18th in points with $1,257,796 in winnings.

- Team News: Nemechek and the Oakwood Homes team are coming off a solid top-ten finish at Watkins Glen and looking forward to returning to an oval track at the Michigan Speedway. The team is currently at a season-best in driver and owner points. The 8th place finish at Watkins Glen catapulted Nemechek from 21st to 18th in Winston Cup points.

- 1999 Pepsi 400 Flashback: The week before the Pepsi 400 presented by Meijer, Joe Nemechek and Team SABCO announced that they would be parting ways at the end of the 1999 season. Nemechek qualified 34th for the Pepsi 400 with a time of 39:045. Nemechek worked his way up to finish the race in 22nd position.

The #33 Andy Petree Racing Chevrolet driven by Ken Schrader started the Pepsi 400 in the 28th position and finished in 25th.
