"One of the main things you have to focus on in Michigan is fuel
mileage. We
are always aware of the kind of fuel mileage that we're getting because
it's
not something you guess at, especially at Michigan. There is something
special about each track that you give a little extra attention to, and at
Michigan it is fuel mileage. Races have been won and lost for that very
thing, and we don't want to take any chances with the "M&M's" Pontiac this
weekend. This team does a great job at Michigan, so I'm sure it will be a
good weekend for us." -- Ken Schrader
Ken Schrader Information...* The "M&M's" Racing Team is taking a car to Michigan that has seen quite a bit of action in the 2000 season. This particular "M&M's" Pontiac has made four previous starts this season, including runs at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, Michigan Speedway and Pocono Raceway in June and Indianapolis Motor Speedway two weeks ago.
* "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ken Schrader topped the $15 million mark in career winnings last weekend at Watkins Glen International. This places Schrader 12th on the list of all-time money winners in the Winston Cup Series.
* The "M&M's" Racing Team and Schrader collectively share three pole-winning performances at Michigan Speedway as well as one outside pole position. Schrader was the fastest qualifier twice at Michigan (1993, 1989) and the "M&M's" Racing Team won the pole position with Ernie Irvan in August 1998. The team also captured the outside pole position in June of 1999.
