BARK RIVER, Wis.,- Jeff Kincaid piloted his Toyota
Tacoma
to back-to-back Pro-Lite class victories at the Championship Off Road
Racing
(CORR) U.P. Off Road 100 in Bark River, Mich., this weekend.
Kincaid, a resident of Argonne, Wis., led every lap of both races this weekend in earning his sixth and seventh victories of the season. He is on top of the Pro-Lite class standings with a 23-point lead over fellow Toyota Tacoma racer Chris Brandt, who skillfully worked his way through the field to finish second today.
"We had an awesome motor today," said Kincaid, who has lead the Pro-Lite class the entire season with seven wins in 10 races. "I have to thank the team and my family. They're the ones who really made it happen."
Rod Millen, from Newport Beach, Calif., drove his Toyota Tundra through a chaotic "land rush" start to finish fourth today in the Pro-4 class (full-size, four-wheel-drive trucks). With a victory yesterday, his fourth of the season, Millen is third in Pro-4 points overall.
Johnny Greaves, from nearby DePere, Wis., diced his way through a crash-filled start in the Pro-2 class race in his two-wheel-drive Toyota Tundra to run in third most of the day. He passed 1999 Pro-2 champion Scott Taylor on lap four to take second, and the two proceeded to battle for position the rest of the race. Greaves and Taylor collided on lap six, causing damage to the front suspension of Greaves' Tundra, ending his day.
Today's race, round 10 of 18, will be broadcast Sept. 16 on ESPN2, while Saturday's Round 9 race will be broadcast on Sept. 10.
