NASCAR WCUP: Ken Schrader Event Preview, Global Crossing at The Glen

"I'm not necessarily a fan of road courses, and I can't really say why I seem to run OK on them. It's not that I was a road course expert before we started racing on them. I guess that when NASCAR sends you to a place enough times you just start to get pretty good at it. Aside from the track itself, turning left and right and shifting all day, Watkins Glen is a nice trip. Ever since I went to Watkins Glen the first time I always look forward to going back. There are so many people that show up that you know they really enjoy watching us race." -- Ken Schrader

Ken Schrader Information...

* The "M&M's" Racing Team is taking the same car to Watkins Glen that raced earlier this season in Sears Point. Schrader and this particular "M&M's" Pontiac finished the day in the 15th position, passing seven cars in the waning laps to secure a top-15 effort.

* "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ken Schrader topped the $1 million mark in winnings for the fifth consecutive year and seventh overall in his 15-year career. Schrader reached the seven-digit mark following his Brickyard performance.

* Schrader is very adept at working his way around the Winston Cup Series road course races. At Watkins Glen specifically, Schrader has posted four top-10 and two top-five finishes in 14 starts. He has also started from the outside pole position on two occasions at the track nestled in the Finger Lakes region.

Sears Point is the "M&M's" Racing Team's other road course visit, in which Schrader has six top 10s and two top fives in 12 starts, including finishing 15th in June.
