Matt Kenseth and the DEWALT Team tested at Watkins Glen on July 24 & 25
in preparation for the Global Crossing @ The Glen.
Kenseth will be running a brand new #17 DEWALT Ford Taurus at Watkins Glen. This #17 Ford was their back up car at Sears Point Raceway in June, but was never needed. The only track time this Taurus has seen is from the test session in July.
Matt Kenseth's Thoughts on The Glen
"I find road courses fun to drive on. It's something different than the norm. But I have found it difficult to be competitive on them. I have driven at Watkins Glen several times in a Busch car and have had some good runs. I think running a Winston Cup car at the Glen will be a lot different than running a Busch Series car. The competition level in the Cup Series is so much greater. I think I will run better this weekend than I did at Sear Point in June, but I believe it will be challenging for me to be a competitive front runner."
