40 Car Field Will Start on Points for Sundays Glass City 300
Toledo, OH- Heavy downpours in the Toledo area starting around 1 p.m. has forced ASA ACDelco officials to cancel qualifying for the Glass City 300 presented Jani-King scheduled for Sunday, July 30 at Toledo Speedway. Officials have elected to establish the starting field based on 2000 points entering the event weekend. All 40 cars entered will start the event.
The water flooded portions of the infield at the track and made conditions nearly unusable for teams in the pit area. A track drying process was successful, but seepage of water onto turn-one of the .50-mile oval made qualifying unsafe. It marks the seco nd time in 2000 ASA has canceled qualifying, the other was the May 20 qualifying at Nashville Speedway USA in Tennessee.

Kevin Cywinski of Minnesota will start alongside St. Amant on the front row, wi th Mike Miller of Georgia, Tim Sauter of Wisconsin and Butch Miller of Michigan the other top five starters.
