MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- RotoZip Tool Corporation, one of several marketing partners at Galaxy Motorsports, will be the primary sponsor on the No. 75 Ford driven by Wally Dallenbach in the Aug. 5 Brickyard 400.
RotoZip is scheduled to serve as a primary sponsor on owner Darwin Oordt's Fords for seven races this season. Now that Galaxy Motorsports has designated RotoZip as the primary sponsor for the Brickyard 400, the burgeoning company will reap the rewards of aligning itself with one of the biggest races on the NASCAR Winston Cup schedule.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for RotoZip," RotoZip CEO Bob Kopras said. "We're still a growing company striving for national media exposure. We'll get that in the Brickyard 400 with Galaxy Motorsports. Not only will our car run laps in front of some 350,000 fans, but we'll be exposed to a nationwide, network television audience."
Oordt is optimistic that Dallenbach and the Galaxy Motorsports team can maximize RotoZip's exposure with a strong run at Indianapolis. Dallenbach tested two days at the superspeedway last week and had the third-fastest Ford in the mid-day sun, when qualifying runs will be held. Dallenbach's Ford also went through extensive wind tunnel testing after the simulated qualifying runs at the Brickyard.
"The Brickyard 400 should be a good race for the RotoZip Ford," Oordt said. "Indianapolis is a track which demands top horsepower and slick aerodynamics. We've got Robert Yates motors and they are the best in the business. We were very pleased with our wind tunnel numbers. We think RotoZip will have the entire package in order to succeed in the Brickyard 400."
RotoZip is the pioneer of Spiral Saw technology and a recognized innovator in the power tool industry. The company currently offers several models of the RotoZip Spiral Saw power tool, the newest being the Rebel, as well as accessories including the Zip Mate attachment, and a series of Zip Bits, Discs and Wheels for use with a variety of the most commonly-used building materials. RotoZip products are sold in major retailers and neighborhood outlets throughout the U.S. and Canada. They are also available through various catalog companies and television programs such as QVC, TSC and a nationwide infomercial.
