"I'm looking forward to getting back to Gateway. We tested there earlier this month and had good results, particularly on our set-up for longer runs. I'm a lot more confident about the package we're taking to race this year than I was last year."
--Buckshot Jones, driver of the No. 00 Cheez-It Chevrolet

Back in 1998

* Buckshot led the race for 43 laps at Gateway International Raceway and with 25 laps remaining an oil line came loose that relegated Buckshot to a 31st-place finish. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. went on to eventually win the race and the 1998 NASCAR Busch Series Championship.

Last Weekend at Pikes Peak

* Buckshot Jones and the Buckshot Racing team experienced there best qualifying effort (12th) since New Hampshire in May, where they qualified second. The team also put together a solid run, finishing 19th. Saturday's finish was the best for Buckshot and company since Charlotte in May (17th).

Plenty of Buckshot Fans in Illinois

* Illinois serves as the home state for the two largest sponsors of the Buckshot Racing team. Primary sponsor Cheez-It snack crackers, a brand of Keebler Foods Company, is headquartered in Elmhurst, Ill. Cheez-It has become the number one cheese cracker in America. Associate sponsor Brunswick Indoor Recreation, a division of Brunswick Corporation, is the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of bowling products and is headquartered in Lake Forest, Ill.
