USAC: Justus heads for Trois Rivieres up by 43 points

Aaron Justus of Crestline, Calif. has a 43-point lead over Canadian Marc-Antoine Camirand entering this weekend's USAC/SCCA Formula 2000 National Championship round at the Trois Rivieres Circuit in Camirand's hometown.

The 1.506-mile circuit is located on the downtown streets of the Quebec city and a 30-lap "Le Grand Prix Player's de Trois Rivieres" feature is scheduled to start at 4:10 pm Saturday.

Justus and Camirand have accounted for five victories in the six races held so far this season. Camirand won last year's 30-lap Trois Rivieres outing.

Practice is scheduled Friday from 8:40-9:10 am and qualifying is slated Friday from 4:20-4:50 pm. and Saturday from 8:40-9:10 am.

Round eight of the 2000 championship, the "Grand Prix at Mosport," is scheduled for August 5 at Mosport International Raceway, the 2.459-mile road course located northeast of Toronto, Canada.
