NASCAR BGN: Miller Named Crew Chief of AFG Glass Racing Team

Concord, NC- The Cicci-Welliver Racing team announced today that C.R. Miller has been named crew chief of its No. 34 AFG Glass entry in the NASCAR Busch Series driven by David Green. The first event for Miller is Sunday's Econo Lodge 200 at Nazareth (PA) Speedway.
Miller, a Provo, Utah native, has been a fixture in the Busch Series since 1987 and has enjoyed successful stints with many top organizations including Emerald Performance Group, Lone Star Motorsports and BACE Motorsports.
"With C.R.'s experience in the Busch Series, he brings a lot to the AFG Glass team," said Green, the 1994 Busch Series champion. "He's a proven winner and is just what this team needs to get back on the winning track."
Green is currently ninth in the series point standings with one top five and six top 10 finishes in 18 starts in the 2000 season.
"It's an honor to work with a talented driver like David," said Miller. "He is fully capable of winning as is the AFG Glass team. We have all the ingredients to a successful combination."
Since 1988, Cicci-Welliver Racing has been a prominent force in NASCAR Busch Series competition. In 11 years, the team has racked up 16 victories, 108 top five and 209 top 10 finishes. The team has fielded cars for drivers Mike McLaughlin, Jimmy Spencer, Jack Sprague, Randy LaJoie, Matt Hutter, Mike Cope and Clifford Allison. Currently, the Concord, North Carolina based three-car team consists of drivers David Green (No. 34), Tim Fedewa (No. 36) and Todd Bodine (No. 66).
