In His Comfort Zone...Tim Fedewa wouldn't mind if the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division made more frequent stops at Nazareth Speedway. In his seven trips to Nazareth, Fedewa has only finished outside of the top 10 once when he finished 11th in the 1997 race. He is also the only driver ever to win twice (1995, 1998) at the one-mile track.
"Nazareth just suits my driving style. I've always liked the flat one-mile tracks because that's where I learned to race," Fedewa said. "I just feel comfortable there. I know when to get in and when to let off the corners.
"Nazareth Speedway will always be a very special place for me because I got my first win there.. Hopefully my good luck will continue this year, and we can get the Stanley car up front at Nazareth once again."
Finding The Groove...Fedewa and the Stanley team look like they have found the consistency they've been looking for this season. Fedewa picked up his second straight top-10 finish and third of the season with a fourth-place finish in Milwaukee.
Helping Hand...As the story goes, it was Todd Bodine that taught Fedewa how to get around Nazareth Speedway during his first trip there in 1993.
"I was just lost," Fedewa remembered. "But Todd pulled me aside and showed me the line I would need to follow around the track. Now, we're teammates, and we help each other every week. Of course, we both want our car to be in victory lane at the end of the day."
Who Wants To Be A Tool Winner? Dave Burns of ESPN was the winner of the weekly "Who Wants To Be A Tool Winner?" Stanley Sweepstakes 2000 last weekend. Don't forget to pick up an entry form and guess where the No.. 36 team will finish this weekend at Nazareth Speedway.
