FAST FACT

Nazareth Speedway is the site of LaJoie's first-ever NASCAR Busch Series win in 1996.

LaJoie Looks Ahead to the Econo Lodge 200:

"Nazareth holds a special place for me, because it's the sight of my first Busch Series win, and the track has always been good to me.

"It's an extremely demanding track on a driver. Some say there are five turns and some say there are only three turns. It's just a very unique race track. You go downhill into turn four and you go uphill toward the straightaway at the start/finish line. After the start/finish line, there is a dog-leg with a hard left-hand corner.

"Your car has to handle at Nazareth. If you're even a little loose or a little tight, you're not going to run well. The track demands the chassis be almost perfect. Track position also means a lot because it's difficult to pass, especially if your car isn't handling well.

"Nazareth is a lot of fun if you have a good car. You usually know after the first practice how good you're going to be. If the car is turning well, you'll have a good run, and if it's not, you're going to have some work to do. When you have a good run at Nazareth, it's a good time."
