season. But his transporter driver, Jackie Miles, has put more than 13,000 miles on the No. 25 transporter -- just in the last seven weeks! Since the last break in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series schedule May 14, Miles has been to seven races and two test sessions. Needless to say, he's looking forward to the upcoming off weekend.
Nadeau enjoyed some R&R at his sister Debbie's farm in Bradenton, Fla., after the Pepsi 400 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. He and his wife, Jada, went horseback riding Sunday and then returned to Charlotte Monday -- just in time to enjoy the Fourth of July holiday on Lake Norman.
"Years ago, our family had several horses and I'd go horseback riding with my sister all the time. I hadn't done it in years. Debbie has nine horses on her farm and a lot of acreage. It was a relaxing couple of days away from the circuit and a nice change to handle just one horsepower," said Nadeau.
Culinary Tip of the Week: Having grown up in nearby Connecticut, Nadeau naturally loves his seafood. He suggests a visit to Makris Lobster & Steak House in Concord, N.H.
"I always eat there when I race in New Hampshire. You don't get much good lobster living in the south," Nadeau explained. "It's a real treat twice a year."
