NASCAR WCUP: Schrader continues to build on solid starts and finishes

Ken Schrader Said...

"We have had some solid starts and finishes in the past few weeks and we are building together as a team. We are encouraged about where we are right now in the points race because I know from experience that we can recover and finish the year strong. This "M&M's" Team is a great race team and we have just begun to tap out our potential. We've just got to keep plugging and finishing solid every weekend and we will get there."

Ken Schrader's Stats...

* The "M&M's" Pontiac Ken Schrader will pilot this weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway is the same car that ran at Richmond International Raceway earlier this year. The No. 36 finished 12th after starting 34th at Richmond.

* Qualifying at New Hampshire International Speedway is no problem for "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ken Schrader. Schrader has made 10 starts at the New Hampshire track since the Winston Cup Series debuted there in 1993 and has twice brought the field to the green flag following a pole winning qualifying effort (both pole positions came in 1997). Even more impressive is the fact that in those 10 starts, Schrader has started from the top 10 on nine occasions.

* The NASCAR Winston Cup series makes three stops on flat, one-mile ovals and "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ken Schrader is always a favorite. At both New Hampshire International Speedway and Phoenix International Raceway, Schrader has a combined 22 starts. Of those 22 starts, Schrader has finished in the top 10 on seven occasions and twice in the top five. The St. Louis native also has four combined pole positions at Phoenix and New Hampshire.

* The Schraders took their annual float trip on Sunday, July 2, near their hometown of St. Louis. The Schraders, along with a hundred or so friends and family, spent the day floating in canoes to celebrate the Fourth of July. The float trip has grown steadily over the past few years and for the first time, "M&M's" were the official candy of "Millenium Madness Float 2000".
