NOTES:

Team Lowe's Racing's pole for the 1997 Pepsi 400 made Mike Skinner the first NASCAR Winston Cup driver to win both Daytona International Speedway poles in his rookie season.

Skinner's worst start in six races at Daytona International Speedway is 12th ('99 Daytona 500).

In six races at Daytona, Skinner has three top-five and four top-10 finishes. In addition to the information above, Skinner finished fourth in last year's Daytona 500 and eighth in the '98 season opener.

Crew chief Larry McReynolds' two victories at Daytona Int'l Speedway both came in the Daytona 500. He won the 1992 event with the late Davey Allison behind the wheel and the 1998 race with RCR and Dale Earnhardt.
