CHARLOTTE, N.C.,- Mike Wallace again showed his skill on a road course in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Bully Hill Vineyards 150 at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International this weekend with a fourth-place finish. Last year, he was runner-up to Ron Fellows.

"It was a good run for the Team ASE Ford," Wallace said. "The guys did a great job in the pits and really gave me a good race truck. The truck was good from the start and the guys made some minor adjustments that made it better. I'm happy with how things went and we'll take a fourth-place finish."

Fellows may have snuck past Wallace in the waning laps of the event, but Wallace gained some ground on Jack Sprague in the Truck Series points race. The driver of the No. 2 Ford is only 25 points behind second-place Sprague and 79 points out of first.

With a top-10 finish in each race at The Milwaukee (Wis.) Mile over the last three years, Mike Wallace is pretty confident about the outcome when the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series visits the track this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to this race," Wallace said. "We've run well here in the past and I don't think this weekend will be any different. Hopefully our confidence here will bring us the results we're looking for. It's been a couple of weeks since our last win and I think we're due for one."

Although Wallace pulled out a strong fourth-place finish last weekend at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International, he remains third in the Truck Series point standings and still trails leader Greg Biffle by 79 points and Jack Sprague in second by 25.

"We gained some ground on Sprague which is good but we still have a lot of work to do to catch Biffle," Wallace said. "Everything will fall into place as long as we continue to finish in the top-five. I guess we hope the power of positive thinking is on our side and that's how we've been treating the entire season. It hasn't really let us down so why stop now. We still see ourselves as championship contenders and that's how we intend to race."
