Frank Dancs of Hillsborough, Calif. led all 24 laps of Saturday's
Russell/USAC Triple Crown Pro Series opener at Sears Point Raceway in
Sonoma, Calif. The 1999 Formula Russell Championship runner-up thereby
assumes the early point lead in the series which resumes with round two on
July 23, also at Sears Point.Dancs won the pole Friday with a lap of 1:13.75 on the 1.95-mile road course. Timothy barber of San Francisco, Calif. was third, ahead of 1999 Formula Russell Champion Nathan Smith of Escalon, Calif. and Cory Turner of Bakersfield, Calif.
