Indianapolis, IN: Treadway Racing will be flying the
American colors at
each
racing venue throughout the rest of the racing season thanks to generosity
of
the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of
Indiana.
The Auxiliary awards two American flags each year to organizations of their choice that best represent the spirit of Americana and have a strong charitable presence within their community. Treadway Racing, an Indy Racing Northern Light Series racing team, became a proud recipient on June 17th and plans to promote this honor at race tracks across the country.
According to Alice Greetham, Patriotic Instructor and Americanism Chairman of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, "It is our duty as members of the Ladies Auxiliary to remind the people of this great land that the American flag is the ultimate symbol of our freedom. We feel that Treadway Racing is an exemplary addition to our list of honored companies, and feel that they will assist with spreading the word that America is the greatest country in the world."
"Treadway Racing is pleased to have been presented with such a patriotic honor," stated Scott Cronk, vice president of business for the team. "The team will proudly display the flag at each of our remaining races in honor of the veterans and their contributions to our great nation."
Previous recipients of this notable award include schools, hospitals, nursing and veteran's homes as well as the Indiana Pacers, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In addition to Treadway Racing, this year's second recipient is the Julian Center-a women's resource for hope and healing.
