Cicci-Welliver Racing Comes Home...The trip to Watkins Glen International is one of the more important stops of the season for the No. 36 Stanley Racing team. Car owners Frank Cicci and Scott and Jeff Welliver all hail from the Finger Lakes area, and the Cicci-Welliver fan base in the region is quite large.

Last year, the Stanley team finished 27th. The team ran in the top 10 for most of the race and was in 8th place when a gear broke in the car.

"Watkins Glen is definitely a challenge for us, but the guys really put in the extra effort to make sure that we perform well on the road course," said Stanley driver Tim Fedewa. "Our teams historically run well up there, and we'd like to see one of our three teams roll into victory lane at the end of the day."

Holding The Keys...Crew chief Billy Nacewicz says there are several keys to doing well at Watkins Glen International. First, it takes a lot of patience from the team and the driver. Second, it takes strategy.

"You've got to make pit stops at just the right time because you can get behind quick, and it isn't easy to catch up on a road course. Full course yellows aren't very common," Nacewicz said. "The Glen is rough on the transmission, the brakes and the car. But if you put the best possible parts on the car, you'll do okay there because the drivers normally adapt."

Meet And Greet... Stanley driver Tim Fedewa will be signing autographs at the 5th annual "Elmira Night in the Heights." Fedewa will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, June 22.
