CHICAGO, June 12, 2000 - Molly Morter, driver of the #333 Golin/Harris Motorsports Buggy in the CORR Series, recently completed her first two rounds of racing in the Kiwanis Off-Road Championship in Antigo, WI. Starting from the back of the pack, Morter had only one way to go-to the front.

Drawing a 19th position on the starting grid for round #1, Morter knew she had her work cut out for her from the start. Rounding the first corner she made up four positions and picked off her competitors one by one. After the fifteen minutes of intense action ended Morter crossed the line with a respectable 11th place out of twenty cars.

I couldnt have asked for a better first race in my new Golin/Harris car. The start was great and mid-way through I really got the rhythm down. I couldve picked up a couple more positions if I only had more time. I really had to use my driving skills today, that practice in Chicago rush hour certainly comes in handy.

Round #2 was short and bittersweet for the #333 Golin/Harris Motorsports buggy. Starting 9th after on the inverted start, Morters confidence was running high until the first corner when a competitor came down off the bank and hit her front right tire. Taken out of the race Morter was disappointed but chalked it up to competitive racing.

When you race open-wheel racecars like this, things are bound to happen when you touch, unfortunately I got the short end of the stick today. Overall I am really happy with the way my car is performing and I look forward to showing my true driving skills in two weeks at the Crandon Brush Run.

Rounds 1&2 of the Exxon Superflo CORR Series will air on ESPN2 on June 26, 2000 from 6:00-7:00 p.m., June 30, 2000 from 5:00-6:00 a.m., July 14, 2000 from 6:00-7:00 p.m., and July 16, 2000 from 3:30 a.m.-4:30 a.m. all Standard Eastern Time.
