LaJoie Looks Ahead to the Myrtle Beach 250
"I'm excited about going back to Myrtle Beach, especially since we finished second there last year, and won the year before.
"Because the pits are so tight at Myrtle Beach, and NASCAR has decided to add more cars to the starting grid, the crews will have to be on their game. Last year, we had competition cautions and I think they helped all the teams. The guys weren't rushed and I think it was a lot safer. This year, they'll really be on the spot to perform.
"Myrtle Beach is notorious for being one of the hottest places we race. Heat will definitely play a role, even though we race late in the evening. It's still extremely hot and very physically demanding on the driver. Luckily, we've got the technology of the cool-air blower, a device that hooks into our helmet and circulates cool air."
