DETROIT--Championship Auto Racing Teams announced the debut of a new feature on its website www.cart.com. "How Champ Cars Work," a weekly feature that highlights various technical aspects of the Champ Car through revolutionary technology, began running on CART.com today.

"How Champ Cars Work" is a cooperative effort between HowStuffWorks.com, an award-winning online magazine, the Motorola PacWest Racing Champ Car team and CART.com. To demonstrate the different technical aspects of the car, revolutionary 3D interactive animation from NxView Technologies was used.

"How Champ Cars Work" is scheduled to run for a minimum of 10 weeks on CART.com, with new features being introduced to the site weekly. Viewers of "Inside CART," the television program about CART that airs at 6:00 p.m. ET Tuesdays on ESPN2, and CART Radio Network listeners also will be directed to CART.com to learn more about Champ Car racing through "How Champ Cars Work."

"We are excited to partner with HowStuffWorks.com, Motorola, PacWest Racing Group, and NxView Technologies to further educate Champ Car fans about the technology involved in the sport," said CART Senior Vice President of Marketing, Patrick Leahy. "Clearly, Champ Cars are among the most technologically advanced racing machines in the world, and we expect 'How Champ Cars Work' to be one of the most popular features on CART.com in the coming weeks."

Championship Auto Racing Teams, Inc. (NYSE: MPH) owns, operates and markets the FedEx Championship Series, which is comprised of 20 races in five countries on four continents in 2000.
