INDIANAPOLIS-- Due to the demands of other personal
business interests, Jim Immke has sold his 50-percent share in
Hubbard-Immke
Racing to Ross Hubbard."With my heart and soul, I wish Team Hubbard and (driver) Tyce Carlson many victories and championships," Immke said. "Because of other interests, I cannot put the effort into this team that both Ross and Diana Hubbard and Tyce have put in. Therefore I wish them all the success and Godspeed." The partnership between Immke, of Columbus, Ohio, and the Hubbards, of Naples, Fla., was formed in November 1999. Through the first four races on the 2000 Indy Racing Northern Light Series schedule, the team is in 16th place in the points standings with a season-high finish of eighth in the Vegas Indy 300 in April at Las Vegas.
"Were grateful for the help Jim provided that allowed us to enter the sport and the Indy Racing series so effortlessly," Ross Hubbard said. "We regret that other business interests force him to leave our team, but we wish him great success in all he does."
Rebounding from injuries sustained in a practice session accident which forced him to miss the 84th Indianapolis 500, Carlson and newly named Hubbard Racing will compete in the Casino Magic 500 on June 10 at Texas Motor Speedway and the Radisson 200 on June 18 at Pikes Peak International Raceway.
