INDIANAPOLIS: Just after 3:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Dr. Jack Miller crashed his number 21 Milk Chug sponsored racer in turn two during practice for the 2000 Indianapolis 500. Dr. Miller is an Indy veteran.
Miller scraped the short chute wall between turns one and two. His right rear tire went flat from the impact. As he slowed entering turn two on a low line, he lost control of the car. Miller spun 180 degrees and hit the outside wall. The car suffered minor rear end and suspension damage.
Dr. Miller got out of the car under his own power. He was checked at the infield medical center and released. Miller was cleared to drive.
