What to Watch:
A Mosport International Raceway record entry of 37 drivers are entered in this weekends event. The previous Mosport record was set in 1981, when 35 drivers took the green flag in a contest won by Bob Tullius, driving a Jaguar XJS.
The Simple Green Clean Up Award, a $2,500 bonus that goes to any driver who cleans up at any single race by earning the pole position, posting the fastest race lap, leading the most laps and winning the race. With no Clean Up winner at Sebring or Charlotte, the award rolls over and is now worth $10,000 to a driver who cleans up at Mosport.
Raucous racing in first three events and a controversial finish at Long Beach are expected to be addressed by the SCCA Pro Racing Court of Appeala decision on appeals filed at both Charlotte (Round Two) and Long Beach (Round Three) is expected to be announced prior to the beginning of this weekends on-track activities.
