To say that Team JEG'S is having a good year is an under statement. The
familiar yellow and black colors have been in all seven final rounds of
competition in what is arguably NHRA most competitive professional class.
NHRA Pro Stock points leader Jeg Coughlin has won an amazing six races so far this season. He has a 289 points lead over his closest competitor. Although the young and talented driver has been so dominant it is hard to tell when you talk to him about his success.
"100% of the success that we have had is due to team work. Our team is filled with dedicated, knowledgeable and talented people who are all working toward the same goal of winning," explained Jeg. "We have implemented a maintenance program that has kept us from beating ourselves."
Troy Coughlin is currently No. 5 in the NHRA Winston Championship. He is a mere three points from moving up a position and is 50 points away from taking over the No. 3 spot going into the eighth NHRA race of the 23 race series.
Troy has continued to show strength during qualifying throughout the season and has made a recent habit of ending drivers quest of winning on raceday. The two car concept is clearly showing big dividends for Team JEG'S.
"Our team is off to a great start. However, we all remain focused on the big picture of winning the Championship and having our cars finish one and two," commented Troy. "We run our program as a team and share all of our information in an effort to win races."
